 1. Description of Services:
Treva is an analog collage artist from Houston, Texas, who creates hand-cut, surreal, and abstract visuals. Her collage creations highlight beauty in the unexpected using vintage books, magazines, photographs, and recycled papers.

2. How did you get started doing what you do?
2019 marks the year when Treva went all in with her collage artistry. She has always had a love of paper, design, color, and all things creative. Her fascination with fusing and merging unanticipated and often over-looked independent parts, is the fuel that drives her art-making. As an educator of over 25 years, Treva has also taught art, reading, writing, and poetry to students and adults of all ages, all over the city of Houston.

3.What inspires your work?
Treva is inspired and influenced by connecting things that seem unrelated in novel, fresh ways, exploring how truly connected we are as humans with nature, space, life experiences, and each other. When Treva creates collages, she feels as though she is creating “never-seen-before-puzzles”, shining light on what can be frequently passed over or over-looked.

4. What is something special or unique about your products?
The surreal collages that Treva creates, shower the senses by connecting the unconnected, showcasing beauty in the unexpected—layer by layer, piece by piece.
